This operation is performed when two or more of the bones within the wrist have become severely painful secondary to arthritis. The joints are exposed via an incision on the back of the wrist. The affected bones are then fixed together. The wrist will then be held in a plaster to allow the bones to completely 'knit' together

We will diagnose and treat your fracture appropriately. If surgery is required then this is usually performed with techniques to minimise the discomfort and maximise the patients outcomes. We do this with a mixture of wires and plates
